Registration

Welcome to the 2019 Registration Process

Welcome to the 2019 Season!

The information below is designed to assist you with completing all registrations and uniform orders using the online systems for our club and for Hockey Australia Registration.

Players in ALL Hockey Clubs are required to complete online registration for Hockey Australia, Hockey Queensland and their local hockey association, as this is a national requirement stipulated by Hockey Australia. This also involves payment of Hockey Australia and Hockey Queensland fees. Players are also required to register for their Club and pay Club fees.  Some clubs ask players to complete the Club registration as a separate process to the Hockey Australia registration process.

Registration this year for SBE Hockey will involve players completing two online registration processes and paying their fees in 2 separate portions.

  • Players must register online through the SBE website and can choose to pay this portion of their fees either by Bank Transfer, online by credit card or by cash.
  • Players must also register online through the Hockey Australia online registration portal and must pay this portion of their fees online by credit card or Paypal.

Simply follow the steps below on your computer or mobile device.

Step 2 Hockey Australia Registration

In addition to SBE Club registration and fees, all players MUST register with Hockey Australia to pay Hockey Australia (HA), Hockey Queensland (HQ) and insurance fees.  This part of the process should be completed as soon as possible, and MUST be completed before a player can take the field on their first match.

All non-playing coaches, managers, umpires and game officials should also register via this process, however, fees do not have to be paid for these members.

The player fees paid via the Hockey Australia online registration portal for 2019 are:

  • $127 - Senior Player (Over 20 years) - consists of $30 HA fee + $85 HQ fee + $12 insurance
  • $127 - Senior Casual (5-10 games) - consists of $30 HA fee + $85 HQ fee* + $12 insurance
  • $102 - Sub-Senior Player (18-20 years) - consists of $30 HA fee + $60 HQ fee + $12 insurance
  • $102 - Sub-Senior Casual Player (18-20 years and 5-10 games) - consists of $30 HA fee + $60 HQ fee* + $12 insurance
    • $70 - Junior Player (10-17 years) - consists of $18 HA fee + $40 HQ fee + $12 insurance
    • $37 - Under 10 Player - consists of $25 HQ fee + $12 insurance (there is no HA fee)

* Please note that Seniors and Sub-Seniors Casual 10 players will have to pay the full HQ fee at registration time ($85 and $60 respectively) and will be able to access a refund of $30 for the HQ fee at the end of the season. More information and instructions about how to access this refund will be available towards the end of the season.

These fees will have to be paid by credit card or Paypal through the Hockey Australia registration process as outlined below.

A new national database for this registration process has been introduced this year. Playing and non-playing members' records have been transferred across from the old to the new system (although passwords have not been carried across).

  • Transferring from another club? If you are a new player to SBE, transferring from another club, please request a clearance from your previous club before registering in the Hockey Australia system. Please email SBE to find out if your club has process the transfer request.
  • Dual Players - Please register and pay the HA/HQ fees online with your Primary Association before you register as a Secondary player with SBE.
  • Will you be coaching, managing, umpiring or doing tech bench for SBE and not playing?  We still want you to please register as a member in the system.  You will not be charged any fees for this type of registration. Managers should select 'Volunteer' as the member type.

PLEASE READ THESE IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS before you select the link below to register on the Hockey Australia online portal 'Gameday'.

  • When you land on the Hockey Australia registration page, you will be prompted to 'Login to register or renew your membership'.

- If you had previously registered via the national SportsTG online portal used in past years, your previous email has been carried across to this new system, however, all passwords have been deleted. You will need to follow the 'Forgot Password' prompts. It is important that you use the email address that you registered with in previous years to complete this step. If you have changed to a new email address since registering last year, please register using the 'Don't have an account' option, as a new player with your new password. Your old records will be merged with your new records down the track.

- If you have not ever registered via the national SportsTG online portal in previous years, then you can choose the 'Don't have an account' option, to create a new user account. You will be asked for your name, email address and asked to create a password.

  • Once you have successfully re-set your password or created a new account, and logged in you will be asked to register yourself or someone else.
  • If you have more than one person to register you will have to register and pay their fees in separate transactions. There is currently a bug in the system that prevents users from registering more than one player at a time. It is anticipated that this will be fixed in the future.
  • Once you have chosen who to register, you will be prompted to add other basic details (remember to enter the details relevant to the person you are registering).

- Please ensure there are no spaces in your Mobile Number.

Please choose all 'Member Types' for the person you are registering.  For example, if you are going to be a Player, a Coach and an Umpire, choose all three member types. If one of your member types is a Manager, please select the Volunteer option.  Don't forget, all non-playing members should register.  For example, if you are a parent of a junior player, who is going to be a Manager, and you are not playing yourself, then you should register as a 'Volunteer', or if you are going to coach a team, you should register as a 'Coach'

  • The next screen will ask you to Select Your Registration Options.

The Hockey Australia, Hockey Qld and SBE Hockey registration options applicable to the 'Member Type/s' you have chosen for the person will automatically be selected and you won't be able to change these options

You will then have to choose either a BWHA or BHA registration option depending on what competition/s the player is entering or if the person is registering as a non-playing member. For example, a senior female player entering the Senior Grass and Masters competitions, will choose BWHA 2019 Senior Player - 2 Comps, or a male player you will choose the BHA option. You will note that the BWHA/BHA registration options have $0 fees against them, as the BWHA or BHA and SBE portions of the player fees are collected via your payment through the SBE registration process

- Any non-playing members who register will see registration options with $0 fees against them.

  • You will next be prompted to enter a few more details, such as address, medical conditions etc, and then proceed to complete payment.
  • When you get to the 'Summary' page after you will then 'Proceed to Payment'.
  • Once you have completed the registration and payment process you will receive a number of emails as confirmation of your registration, receipt of payment and welcome to Hockey Australia, Hockey Qld, BWHA or BHA.
